L.A.
Alright, so I’ve been here for nearly a week.
So far i have:
- learned the bus system
- watched a man rock out to blink 182 on his headphones for 20 minutes on the bus home but he didnt know the words
- wandered into glendale
- wandered into burbank
- wandered around universal citywalk
- watched someone get their star on the walk of fame or at least that’s what i think was happening. I was waiting for my bus and didn’t go any closer to figure it out
- talked to an elderly lady on the bus about bed sheets and sales at JCPenny
- listened to an elderly man tell stories about what hollywood used to look like when he was growing up
- helped a drunk man find the subway but he decided that he was just going to hang out in a store doorway
- got stuck in traffic between one car blasting Jeremih’s I’mma star and one blasting Abba’s mamma mia
- watched a crazy man yell at a starbucks barista in a different language.
i kind of love the people here.

Read the whole guide. It’s fantastic and the resulting poster is one that I would hang in my classroom to help distinguish me amongst students as the cool teacher that likes words but isn’t a snob about it.

‘I broke up with my girlfriend and thought this would be a great way to get through it,’ he said.
